The Center carries out the following activities in line with its objectives:
a) Provide individual and group psychological counseling/psychotherapy services to students enrolled in associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs at the university, covering personal, social, educational, and vocational areas.
b) Administer psychological tests to university students when necessary, or ensure their administration, and utilize other assessment tools and techniques.
c) Primarily offer developmental, preventive, protective, and educational guidance services within the university.
ç) Support crisis intervention and emergency services within the university.
d) Establish a referral mechanism for students in need or experiencing psychological disorders, and conduct follow-up studies, working in coordination with psychiatric and clinical psychology services within or outside the university.
e) Provide consultancy services to relevant individuals and units within the university as needed, in areas related to the Center’s scope of work.
f) Conduct orientation activities to facilitate the adaptation of new students to the university.
g) Conduct regular research, based on professional ethical guidelines, to determine the needs, expectations, and profiles of the target population.
ğ) Conduct regular scientific studies to evaluate the effectiveness of all activities carried out within the Center.
h) Present and publish all scientific studies conducted within the Center’s scope of work.
ı) Participate in various national and international scientific events in the Center’s field of activity.
i) Provide practical training opportunities, supervision, and consultancy support to professionals, researchers, and graduate students working in relevant fields when necessary.
j) Conduct training programs for university personnel within the scope of its activities, if required.
k) Enable graduate, doctoral, and final-year Guidance and Psychological Counseling students to provide psychological counseling services to undergraduate students and engage in peer counseling.
l) Implement the university’s guidance and psychological counseling services in accordance with scientific and ethical boards.
m) Offer support services through psychological counseling and guidance to help undergraduate students understand and resolve their personal, social, emotional, and cognitive issues.
n) Organize joint congresses, conferences, and seminars with domestic and international experts, universities, and research centers.
o) Conduct activities to promote, disseminate, and encourage the adoption of guidance and psychological counseling services nationwide.
ö) Raise awareness nationwide regarding academic ethical responsibilities in the field of guidance and psychological counseling.
