Application Process
Students who apply to the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center (PCGC) first fill out an application form and are invited for an initial interview.
Following this meeting, students are referred to appropriate services such as group sessions, individual counseling, and/or psychiatric consultation, depending on their needs.
Group Sessions
Group counseling provides a safe and supportive environment where students who share similar concerns can come together under the guidance of a psychologist.
In these sessions, participants share their experiences, learn coping skills, and work toward personal growth and well-being.
-
Groups typically run for 4 to 10 weeks, meeting once a week.
-
Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
-
New group announcements are shared with all students via email.
Individual Counseling
Individual sessions are conducted one-on-one with a psychologist and last about 45–50 minutes.
The frequency of sessions is determined collaboratively between you and your counselor.
In these sessions, the aim is to:
-
Help you view your difficulties from a more objective perspective
-
Develop alternative coping strategies and problem-solving skills
-
Overcome personal barriers that hinder your growth
-
Support your overall psychological well-being and self-development
